Background

Minhajians are the right hand of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International Movement. Right from the inception of Tahreek, a comprehensive project to educate the masses was started to spread the multidimensional message of peace and humanitarianism of Islam, thus creating the leadership for the future. Under this project The Minhaj University was founded on 18th September 1986 at Lahore, and Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is its Chancellor. The University entails the following objectives:

  • Such an effective arrangements for educational and practical, spiritual and moral, and political and cultural training of the youth as would enable them to serve the nation adequately and sincerely.

  • Presentation of educational and thought-provoking training of the youth to cope with the contemporary problems on the ground of their analyses, research, comprehension of the Qur’an and the Sunnah and comparative study of religions.

  • Development of such operations as to raise the status of students above all the mutual bias and narrow-mindedness towards other schools of thought so that they could play a vital role for the uplift of Islam as a complete code of life and global unity of the Muslim Ummah.

  • Such moral and spiritual training of the students as would help them attain character building, righteousness and self-purification.

  • Providing modern, scientific and computer education to the students so that they could base the presentation of Islam on the scientific bases and inspire the modern educated minds of society, also helping them to successfully step in their practical life in any field.
