Annual Meeting Report
The 10th meeting of Minhajians Parliament was
held on 2nd Oct. 2001 at the
central secretariat of
Minhaj-ul-Quran International Movement. This session continued from
10:00am to 9:15pm. About 150 Minhajians participated in the meeting
from all over the country. Mr Naeem Anwar Naumani,
Baba-e-Minhajians & Speaker of the Parliament, presided over the
first session of the meeting. Mr Muhammad Ramadan Qadri from UK
and Mr Muhammad Shafiq from UAE were the special guests.
The first session of the meeting was started
with personal progress reports of minhajians after recitation of the
holy verses of Quran and Naat. Then Minhajians' former President
Mr
Javvad Hamid presented the performance of his tenure.
Mr Naeem Anwar
Naumani and other Minhajians applauded the performance of Mr Javvad
Hamid and his team. Mr Naumani also acknowledged the services of other
alumni (minhajians) and showed his satisfaction on their performance.
The elections for Minhajians' new executive for
session 2001-2002 was held after a group discussion and briefing.
Participants cast votes for the seats of Deputy Speaker, President and
Secretary Information while the other members were elected unopposed.
Mr Javvad Hamid and
Mr Syed Farhat Hussain Shah were
elected as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.

The second session was held after Maghrib
prayer. It was presided by Quaid-e-Inqilab Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
First of all he inaugurated the minhajians' website
www.minhajians.org that has
been designed by Mr Abdul Sattar with his personal interest after
tiring efforts. After the inauguration he demonstrated the website in
detail. Quaid-e-Inqlab appreciated his work and awarded him Rs.25,000
in cash. Quaid-e-Inqilab also acknowledged the services of
Mr Naeem
Anwar Naumani for the cause of Minhajians. He gave him the prize of
Rs.10,000 in cash.
After this, Mr Javvad Hamid,
Mr Naeem Anwar
Naumani, Mr Abdul Sattar and
Mr Rasheed Ahmad Chishti were awarded
beautiful shields by Quaid-e-Inqlab. Newly elected Executive
swore and oath to Quaid-e-Inqilab and the latter prayed for their brilliant
success.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri addressed the meeting and threw light
upon the changing national and international scenario. During his
address he gave a special task to each minhajian to collect Mustafavi
Inqilab Fund. All the minhajians promised to do their best efforts to
achieve the target.
Minhajian sisters from Minhaj Women College
also participated in this session. This important session ended
with the special pray (du'a) of Quaid-e-Inqilab. |
