Tahreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran
Minhaj-ul-Quran is a global movement working for peace and unity of mankind,
under the dynamic leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. It has been
striving for the revival of Muslim Ummah and its unity, and the restoration
of the glory of Islam for the last 20 years. Its headquarters are based at
Lahore, Pakistan. Its organizational structure is established all over the
world, in over eighty countries. It has many educational, cultural, social,
political, human development and religious projects and activities running
throughout the world. The purpose of which is to rid the world of all kinds
of humanitarian problems and violations of human rights through awareness
and educations.
Today when scientific progress
is reaching its zenith in an age of mechanical advancement and supremacy,
the individual is suffering from a sense of disintegration and disbelief.
Man is perplexed and insecure because of his self-made dangerous and
destructive weapons, both military and mental. General massacre, wickedness,
immorality, aimlessness and materialism have spoiled life-giving spiritual
values. Today humanity is wailing and does not find justice and equality.
Worshipping the idols of racial, lingual and regional prejudices has become
the norm. Mankind at large is miserable and looking back at its history.
Situations having these characteristics and features emerged at intervals.
But this time the risk of losing basic human values, the danger of demise
and decay, is imminent.
Islam is the religion of peace
and human welfare. Muslims have been performing their duties for the
establishment of the virtue of Islam for centuries and they maintained their
reputation and honor in all ages. But today Muslims, having compromised with
the prevailing situations, have fallen in utter deterioration and depression
at individual, national and international levels. The Muslim world finds
itself in the claws of either tyrants or thieves.
Advanced and industrialized
countries do not take the Muslims as a respectable nation into
consideration, rather think of them a third-grade creature. UNO does not
bother about the conflicts and disputes of the Muslim Ummah and turns a deaf
ear to their appeals. This is the time that Muslims should seriously
ponder over their dismal situation and prove themselves a respectable and
peaceful nation through cogent arguments. Reconciliation, wisdom and
sagacity must be the basic steps of the Ummah to solve the conflicts.
Similarly it is also the duty of the Muslim Ummah to resolve all
humanitarian problems through unique Islamic teachings of peace, welfare,
equality, morality and justice. This is because no new prophet will advent
from Allah to guide humanity, wandering in wilderness. In such
circumstances, it is high time for Muslims to realize their goals with
intellect and saneness and utilize all their measures and qualities
accordingly. Replaying our historical role, we should and must take up the
challenge of spreading the universal message of Islam, that is, the message
of love, peace, welfare and well-being among all mankind.
O Muslims! A message from the
Final Messenger (saw) is addressing you even today. It is a call, an
invitation:
"Help my
people who abandoned my path, the path of the pure and prosperous. Guide
them. Lead them."
Ways out of the present
impasse
Conceding to the facts narrated
above, two different opinions come on the scene:
The First Way:
A Muslim continues a life of indifference and hypocrisy without realizing the fact
that being a Muslim he/she is a part and parcel of a nation with a common
responsibility, that is, a global mission. As such he/she will never enjoy peace of mind
and satisfaction of heart and will become guilty of crime, the crime of
inactivity, escapism and sloth.
The Second Way:
If, however, a Muslim is prepared to face the internal, external, ideological
and social challenges, faced by the Muslim Ummah, shall take action like the
early faithful followers, who grasped the message of Islam. He/She will
struggle for the establishment of a fair, just and harmonious code.
The second way is the mode and model of the
Minhaj-ul-Quran Movement!
Literally, Minhaj-ul-Qur’an
means ‘‘the way of the Qur’an’’. This is, in fact, the most simple,
comprehensive, and accurate description of the Minhaj-ul-Qur’an
International Movement.
You will observe its ideology, strategy and
objectives are based purely on the divine teachings of the scripture and
the authorized instructions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) who is the
Qur’an incarnate. The Qur’anic way is the path of peace, progress,
prosperity and welfare. In fact, it is the secret of success both in this world and in
the Hereafter. The movement of Minhaj-Qur’an is based upon this open secret.
