Land clearing involves the destruction of native vegetation and habitats, including the bulldozing of native bush lands, forests, northern arias and native grasslands and the draining of natural wetlands.

We need national laws to control land clearing and protect our bush lands for future generations to enjoy.

Reducing greenhouse pollution requires us to become more efficient by moving from dirty to clean energy sources, using more public transport, and ending.

Pakistani forests are recognized worldwide for their grandeur and rich array of life forms.

Water is and always has been a scarce resource in Pakistan. The demands of our cities, agriculture and industry have traditionally taken precedence over the needs of the natural environment, diminishing the flows of our rivers.

Our rivers have been diverted, dammed and used for waste disposal.

Our degraded rivers can be returned to health by promoting the return of water to the environment, establishing appropriate water pricing regimes, leaving our wild rivers in their natural state, preventing dams and weirs on rivers of high natural and cultural value, and encouraging better agricultural practices

Although tanning industry is the prominent source of groundwater pollution, but the other sources of pollution cannot be overlooked. Ponds of domestic sewerage in Kasur are also among such sources, which are the breeding places for mosquitoes and flies. In rainy season the situation is even worst and disease like malaria and cholera are widely observed.
