The international community must step ahead to meet the needs of the youth to see them making progress and becoming useful organs of the state. Unless the governments give the youth their due share to the young people they will not make progress or potential partners in the development of the mother earth. SOW ever tries to play its part to help youth. New Millennium has dawned upon people the reality of their status in the comity of Nations. Young people are full of hope and commitment that the Age of exploitation is now a matter of past. We are convinced that in partnership between youth and youth-serving organizations, national governments, the United Nations System and other inter-governmental organizations, we can shape our world for the creation of a better future for all living any where in the world. Still young people face the challenges of injustice and exclusion resulting mainly from the enormous inequities in income, wealth and power dominating today's world. Because trade and investment agreements and relations remain unfair there is a growing gap between the rich and the poor. The modern era is with new hopes for the youth. At present young people are burdened by the financial and debt crisis, and as a result of Structural Adjustment Programs they experience the consequences of on-going cuts in government expenditure in human services. There is a decline of educational systems in many regions, young peoples' access to health services is restricted and youth unemployment is growing. This is causing many problems like addiction, thefts and law breaking etc. It is an accepted phenomenon that young people can and should be a part of the solution to the problems in the world. Everywhere, young people and youth organizations show that they are not obstacles, but invaluable resources for development. Youth are building democratic leadership, civil society and social capital for the 21st century. The need of the hour is to accept the reality and the demands of the new era. We see that the future is in the hands of the young, energetic and sincere youth. SOW monitors the situation of youth at the national, regional and global levels. We are very active whenever the need arises. Games are an integral part of the human activities. Health giving activities
are ever given their due importance by all the organizations related to social
well being. SOW never overlooks the importance of the games and contributes its
due by providing full resources to its members to the sports' activities they
like. Syed Fraz Amjad Bukhari is the Director Of Youth and Healthy Activities. In addition he is also the Secretary General Of Save Our world (SOW), Vice President of Walking Federation of Pakistan, Honorary Vice President of Pakistan Flying Disc Federation, General Secretary of Punjab Walking Association, Editor Of Sports' Express Weekly Magazine, Joint Secretary of Gujranwala Handball Association, Executive Member of Gujranwala Basketball Association.
