Back to Top(1) Made of polyester fabric PVC coated, water proof, new CCD camouflage colour and pattern. (2) 2 x Windows on each adjacent side walls made of polyester netting green reinforced with cross webbing (length and width wise) 31.75 mm wide green covered from outside with flap made of polyester fabric PVC coated, water proof new CCD camouflage colour and pattern. Slant opening of flap by tying with 7-mm dia polypropylene cord for shade. (3) 2 x Windows on each adjacent front & rear side on top of the tent for cross ventilation to keep the temp down. Windows are made of polyester netting green reinforced with webbing height wise 31.75 mm wide green covered from outside with flap made of polyester fabric PVC coated, water proof new CCD camouflage colour and pattern. (4) 1 x door each on front & rear side. Opening closing provided with three systems i.e. with zip no. 10 double puller, Velcro tabs & laces 4-mm dia with corresponding brass eyelet. (5) Walls opening / closing (excluding fixed corners of tent as shown in drg) with three systems i.e. with zip no. 10 double puller, Velcro tabs & lace 4 mm dia with corresponding brass eyelets. (6) Self inflating canopy for exhaust over the vent made of polyester fabric PVC coated, water proof, new CCD camouflage colour and pattern with provision of five pillars made of Polyethylene closed cell covered with polyester fabric PVC coated, water proof, new CCD camouflage colour and pattern. (7) Windows, doors & walls roll up. One door or wall extendable with the help of extra iron poles provided. (8) Mud protective flap 24 cm wide made of polyester fabric PVC coated, waterproof, new CCD camouflage colour and pattern stitched with bottom walls. Outer layer green colour and inside layer of khaki colour attached with metallic frame through webbing 31.75 mm wide having brass hooks and rings at web ends for locking (2) 2 x windows on each adjacent side wall made of polyester netting green reinforced with cross webbing 31.75 mm wide (length & width wise) covered from inside flap made of two layers of dosootie green / khaki. (5) Windows, doors & walls roll up. (6) Detachable ground sheet made of polyester PVC sheet coated waterproof olive green colour attached with zip no. 10 double puller. Zip covered from inside with flap of two layers dosootie (7) Exhaust corresponding to exhaust canopy at top of outer fly. It is made of cross webbing 31.75 mm wide & underneath polyester netting with flap made of two layer dosootie opening with zip no 10 double puller and Velcro tapes (8) 2 x pockets each made of dosootie Khaki provided at inner adjacent side walls, opening with zip No 10. Hooks, buckles, dees, runners and rings made of brass with bronzing treatment. e. Polypropylene cord 7mm dia Olive Green for tying frame tents, doors, walls and window flap. f. Sectional iron pole frame. Pole standing in two pieces for adjusting heights during digging. g. Frame iron poles, pegs, pickets and hammer shall be painted. h. Runners brass for stretching polypropylene ropes. i. Provide unobstructed floor area 14' x 14' (196 sq. ft). j. Stitching seams of outer fly treated with seam sealer to prevent penetration of water. b. The cloth cam PVC coated waterproof used for various components shall be in complete lengths through out, and not pieced. Full width of cloth cam PVC coated waterproof shall be used except when it is necessary to use a narrow width. All raw edges shall be turned in at least ˝ in. c. Machine sewing shall be used for joining and hemming width of cloth cam PVC coated and the seams shall be not less than 1/2 inch, full in width. Secured together by means of two rows of stitching. d. The Tent Army Margalah Frame Tent shall be machine sewn with sewing Polyester thread of 4 / 32 Tex. The sewing holes/ seams shall be treated with seepage sealer. e. The Stitching shall be of even tension throughout with all loose ends securely fastened off. The number of stitches per inch shall not be less than six. f. The holes for the eyelets shall first be punched out with a small size punch, the holes shall then be enlarged to the diameter of the shank with a ‘Marline spike’. g. All eyelets shall be fitted with an approved pattern of “Eyelets Brass. sets riveting.” h. The shanks of the eyelets shall be well and evenly set over the washers and shall not be split or deformed. i. All the Frame components shall be correctly formed, and clearly finished, all rough and sharp edges shall be removed. j. Cleaning and drying of surfaces of Frame and components shall be carried out in a manner and with equipment approved by the Inspecting Office. All metal work shall be properly derusted and cleaned by sand or shot blasting. k. All loose ends of the ropes shall be fused. l. Panel Stitching of Outer fly: The layer of cloth shall be place ˝ inch less than second layer of cloth and machine stitched. The extended portion shall be turned and again machine stitched. m. Stitching of Inner fly: Normal machine stitching. Back to Topa. All exposed portions of structure member shall be painted with under coat of zinc primer and 2nd coat of red oxide followed by finished coat, general service of matt finish paint. b. The first coat shall be of under coat of red oxide paint conforming to separate specn and then the final finish coat. The surface coats shall be applied only after the first and second coats had dried. Back to Topa. The workmanship and finish shall be equal to the approved sample. It shall be the best of its Class and to the entire satisfaction of the Inspector. b. The Tent Army Margalah Frame Tent shall conform to the approved sample in respect of all properties and qualities not defined in this specification.
